Spine injury left leg.
The lumbosacral plexus is a group of nerves originating from L1 to S4 with additional nerves from T12 or Co1. These nerves control the muscles of the lower leg.
Flexion of the leg involves several muscles particularly the flexor muscles of the thigh (http://www.healthhype.com/thigh-muscles-diagram-pictures-list-of-actions.html). The nerves involved are primarily from the lumbar plexus (L1 to L5).
Straight leg raises, if this is what you are talking about, tests for pain at the levels of L5 to S2.
