There are many causes that may lead to hearing loss in a baby or even an apparently healthy human all of a sudden. Hearing loss or auditory neuropathy is a condition that occurs due to cochlea though functioning normally develops problems in processing the sense.

There is an auditory brainstorm response or ABR with the missing or strange condition with the cochlea. So a child who may be hearing well all through life could suddenly end up in this problem.
