why cold temperature touch in external ear causes vertido and tinnitus?

  • Dr. Chris September 16, 2011

Cold temperatures can aggravate vertigo and tinnitus but do not cause it. Many other factors may exacerbate the condition or even trigger it but these are not the cause of the condition. Also take note of your blood pressure as cold can cause a drop in the blood pressure which may also aggravate the condition or actually cause these symptoms. In this case, however, it is the effect of low blood pressure itself and not the cold. It is best that you discuss this with your doctor and possibly undergo further investigations to exclude other underlying pathology.
