There are a number of causes of swelling of the upper limbs on both sides. It depends on your age, risk factors and medical history. Kidney and heart failure are two possible causes. However, if you sustained an injury on both sides simultaneously, have been experiencing repeated and persistent enlargement of the lymph nodes, etc, then there could be other causes that may have to be considered as well. You need to see a doctor who will consider your case on an individual basis.
