While at the computer, I have experienced sudden tingling and numbing down my right side of my body, stopping with the arms. I felt I was being pulled down on the right side of my body and experience severe weakness in my right hand. This lasted no more than 20 seconds but has happened three times in the last 36 hours. Each time I was at the computer sitting. What is happening???

It is difficult to say conclusively but this could very likely be a problem with the cervical spine, which is common when stooping over a computer. There is also the possibility that this could be related to pathology within the brain and may even be the warning signs of an impending stroke since the entire right side is affected. This of course depends on a number of factors which is why you should see your doctor as soon as possible. If the symptoms are isolated to the arm then it may just be a local inflammation of a nerve or tendon irritation as is seen in carpal tunnel syndrome and tennis elbow. A doctor will need to examine you and make this diagnosis.
