When I depress the middle of my chest it is very sore, is this a sign of heart issues?

    It could be due to a cardiac condition but usually tenderness (pain/soreness when applying pressure) indicates a chest wall condition. You may find more information in these articles :

    Hi sorry to hear you are having issuse with your chest I too have had/still got a problem similar to yours pain middle of the chest that can me made worse by pressing on the centre of the chest and as Dr.Chris has point you in the right direction of chest wall pain it is well worth reading.
    My doctor came to the conclusion my pain is from Costochondritis (which can be cause by something as simple as having a coughing fit or strainning)and when he would apply pressure to the bottom of the sterum it would hurt like mad.
    Still if you are in the situation to see a doctor to rule out any other possible cause it would be a good thing.
