Bronchitis is the inflammation of the bronchial tubes which are the smaller inlets that lead from the large airways to the lungs. The sense of smell and taste can definitely be affected, especially if there are symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection/inflammation with symptoms like a runny nose and nasal congestion. This would also cause burning and watery eyes. The most likely cause is an infection although allergies may also be responsible. It is best to get this assessed by a doctor as it is possible that your symptoms may be unrelated and other disease processes are occurring simultaneously.
