why does my back, face and scalp itch when i do under the sun
This arises from irritation of the skin surface in these areas which are in contact with direct sun. It can happen in people with no history of skin diseases but is more likely to happen if you have a skin disease like one of the various types of dermatitis, psoriasis and so on. It may also happen if you are using certain medication, especially oral drugs for treating skin conditions, or skin sensitivity that arises due to use of topical applications, like certain hair dyes, skin lightening creams and so on.
It is advisable that you see a dermatologist and verify whether these symptoms are related to an underlying skin disorder and just aggravated by the sun, or whether it just a reaction to the sun exposure itself. Remember that you should be using a sunscreen these days to prevent skin damage and reduce the risk of skin cancer. Excessively dry skin may also react to intense sun exposure.
