It is advisable that you do another Western Blot before you can be assured that you are not positive. Needless to say, the initial flu-like symptoms and so on are characteristic of the first phase (acute infection stage) of HIV infection. You can read more in this article – http://www.healthhype.com/stages-of-hivaids-first-to-final-phase-signs-and-symptoms.html

However there are a number of other causes, even other sexually transmitted infections, that may be responsible. Mono (infectious mononucleosis) is one of the common causes. You can also find a list of other causes of a swollen lymph node in the neck in this article – http://www.healthhype.com/causes-of-swollen-neck-lymph-nodes.html

Hopefully you are being overseen by your doctor for this matter and not just monitoring your status on its own. Your doctor will be able to pick up any signs of other infections or underlying non-infectious causes rather than just testing and monitoring your HIV status on your own.

If you have not been attended to by a medical doctor, it would be advisable that you seek medical attention immediately. Ideally your girlfriend should also be attended to as well.

Yes, it is possible but quite unlikely once you have your final test now. You should also get tested for other STDs like gonorrhea, chlamydia, genital herpes, syphilis and so on. This could also account for your symptoms and present with a urinary tract infection (UTI).

From white angel:

u should not be happy yet and jump into conclusion. It might i mean the virus might be in its incubation stage despite the already known period of incubation, it still varies with persons. U might have other STIs that is just there and by the time you sleep with another girl, she becomes infected because of opened orifice that can allow all sorts of viruses and bacteria to strive
