Appendicitis can cause significant pain so if you are feeling pain of this intensity, you should definitely seek medical attention. Pain on its own is non-specific and without other signs and symptoms present, it is difficult to isolate a possible cause. It could be related to urinary tract disorders – infections, stones; bowel disorders – inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis; ovarian/fallopian tube disorders (women) – polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), adhesions, ectopic pregnancy and so on. These are just some of the conditions that could be causing this pain. Your doctor will consider further investigations like an ultrasound to assist with a diagnosis after examining you. See a doctor immediately.
