Does having low platelets cause anemia or vice versa? I have had some random brusing my arms are very fragile, I had a random nose bleed about two weeks ago and my face is very pale, have a huge migraine it won’t go away and I can’t have any pills that contain asprin do to my disorder. My platelets haven’t gotten monitor for a little over a year haven’t found a specialist here in vegas.

    Anemia means that your red blood cell count or hemoglobin is low. A low platelet count is thrombocytopenia. You should see a doctor because the bruising may be an indication of impaired clotting time. This could mean that your condition is progressing or poorly managed. It could have grave consequences in the event of severe trauma, like a car accident. Speak to your family doctor about a referral.
