If gallbladder diseases have been conclusively excluded (your doctor will obviously have been thorough), then it could be related to conditions like gastritis or a peptic ulcer. This can cause symptoms very similar to gallbladder disorders. Stress is a known aggravating factor in both these conditions. It could also be related to the colon because the transverse colon is also located in this area.

Inflammatory bowel disease and irritable bowel syndrome are also aggravated by stress and will cause pain in this region. You should speak to your doctor about your concerns and divulge any information that you have not done so as yet. This will help him/her consider other investigations to identify a possible cause which may not be related to the gallbladder.
