Severe itching on whole face – no visible rash. Is not a constant thing. There are times when I want to scratch my skin off.

    There are various causes of an itchy face as outlined in this article :

    Allergies and autoimmune causes are possible even in the absence of a rash. Another possibility is an infection affecting the nerves, similar to shingles. You need to see a doctor who will prescribe antihistamines and so and then consider further tests if you are non-responsive to the medication.
