Ideally you should not. As a diabetic your body’s ability to regulate glucose is impaired. Sleeping not only affects this regulation further but by not using the glucose for energy production in activity, it can cause further spikes in the glucose levels. It also depends on what medication you are using and when you are taking it as well as the foods that you eat (dietary management). Speak to your doctor and dietitian for further clarity.
