i have a bad gallblader that is only working at 13% and i am having chronic cramping, i am schecduled to see a surgen next week. but is it normal to have so much cramping?

    You may be experiencing biliary colic. It cannot be categorized as “normal” but yes, this cramping-like abdominal pain does occur, more so if you have gallstones. Furthermore, the lack of bile may affect the digestive process thereby leading to intestinal cramping. The exact cause of the pain needs to identified and treated. Another factor to consider is that your gallbladder dysfunction could be related to some other underlying disorder which may also be contributing to the symptoms you are experiencing. So there are many factors to take into consideration. Your doctor will be able to advise you further.
