There are various causes of a burning sensation in the leg, many of which are discussed under this article – http://www.healthhype.com/leg-numbness-tingling-feet-and-toes.html

Apart from conditions like diabetic neuropathy and nerve compression, peripheral arterial disease is also known to cause a prominent burning sensation of the leg. This could also be related to your heart condition. In peripheral arterial disease, the arteries supplying the leg has narrowed and the burning pain (claudication) is more prominent when exercising and lying flat. It eases when standing or hanging your leg over the side of the bed when lying down. The most common cause is atherosclerosis and this can also affect the coronary arteries of your heart thereby causing chest pain. You should see a cardiologist as soon as possible.

Remember there are various other causes that also need to be taken into consideration. Your doctor will be able to advise you further and refer you to the relevant specialists. Also take note of any itching of the skin, discoloration, swelling or changes in temperature of the leg.
