Yes you could get over acute bronchitis without medication if you are in good health and it is a mild case. This however is not advisable as you cannot be sure about the virulence of the microorganisms responsible for the bronchitis (in infectious cases). Chronic bronchitis is associated with cigarettes smoking and so on, and stopping smoking will help ease the condition, or possibly allow for complete resolution. Infectious bronchitis is contagious depending on the organism involved. This discoloration that you are reporting in your sputum is not a good sign and may be a cause for concern.
